Founder’s Day Weekend in Minnesota is an Alcoholics Anonymous celebration of recovery from alcoholism, and is in tribute to that day in 1940, during the Armistice Day Blizzard when the message of recovery was carried from Chicago to Pat C. by a man who came to Minneapolis for the University of Minnesota football game.
